Barakah Box has been a vital food bank operation in the Hamilton area since 2015! As Mishka Social Services’ largest project, it operates in partnership with Islamic Relief Canada, Show Kids You Care, and RBC Foundation. Each year, Barakah Box provides Halal food support to over 1,000 families in need.

With the transition to a gift card system, families now have the flexibility to shop for their essential groceries at Eastern Food Market, a local halal store. This approach empowers families to choose the foods that best suit their needs while maintaining dignity and independence.
