Barakah Box, a halal food bank under the umbrella of Mishka Social Services, operates in collaboration with Islamic Relief Canada, Show Kids You Care, the RBC Foundation, and many other partners. We recently transitioned to a gift card system, enabling eligible families to shop for their preferred traditional foods at Eastern Food Market within their allocated budget. This shift empowers families by allowing them to choose their own food, helping to preserve their dignity and cultural preferences.

Barakah Box is dedicated to ensuring consistent access to nutritious food for individuals and families in need. Many of the people we support, including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those from diverse backgrounds, face food insecurity due to low incomes or reliance on social assistance. Our goal is to uplift these communities and ensure that everyone has access to the nourishment they deserve.
